Hello! I am Yiannis Philiastides - Animator - Illustrator. I specialise in Character Animation, mostly 3D but I enjoy 2D as well. I like being involved from the beginning of a production process, from conception, design and storyboarding to modelling, and animating, and even some editing too. I got into animation in the first place because I love the idea of creating something from a blank piece of paper, and building it up - its story and character - and giving it life. I respect this godlike power that this medium gives you, of creating something real and alive.
I am 25 years old and was born in Larnaca, Cyprus and have been living in the UK for the past 5 years. I have lived in Bristol, where I completed my studies in Ba Illustration with Animation at University West of England. Then moved to Canterbury where I lived for a year while studying MSc Computer Animation at University of Kent. After graduating I moved to London to pursue a career in Animation.
